Versus Mode: Virtua Fighter 5 Online vs. Dead or Alive 4

Game Features

Virtua Fighter 5 Online focuses heavily on one-on-one competition. The fighting game standard Arcade mode is present, as well as a one-on-one Versus mode for both local and online play. A training mode is also included, as well as “Quest” mode. In Quest mode, the player assumes the role of a Virtua Fighter player, travelling to arcades and taking on other players.

VF5O also allows players to customize their characters’ clothing. Items are collected and bought through Quest mode. While the customization gives the characters a bit of personal flair, it doesn’t affect actual gameplay.

Dead or Alive 4 has the standard Arcade mode (Called “Story” mode), Versus mode, and training mode, in addition to many more modes including Survival, Time Attack, Team Battle and Watch modes. In addition, most modes have a “Tag” option, allowing tag-team matches. The tag option also allows for 4-player, 2-on-2 matches in some modes. The game also allows for viewing of character ending cutscenes.

Online play is handled through a separate DOA Online mode. DOA4’s online play is relatively simple and easy to use, and is primarily one-on-one versus.
