The Anti-Moé Brigade vs. The Moé Fandom

Being fans of obscure media (At least, obscure in relation to more generally-accepted media), some infighting will occur within the fandom. Arguments are inevitable between individuals who are passionate about a particular subject. However, at the end of the day, those people should be able to accept each other as members of the same fandom, and work together to better it.

The Anti-Moé Brigade doesn’t seem interested in this.

Americentrism in the Anti-Moe Brigade

Not too long ago, Kgods, a friend of the site, directed me to an episode of Destroy All Podcasts DX. In the tail end of the episode, after briefly insulting VZ (Another friend of the site), there was a discussion about moé and its affect on the anime industry. The discussion, however, was less of a discussion and more of a long-winded explanation by one of the presenters, dripping with Americentrism.
